Honor and respect rooted in tradition - these are the guiding principles of our new cigar & spirits line “Il Padrino,” also known as “The Godfather.” This is also how the “Kiss the Ring” ritual arose as a gesture of loyalty and devotion. Before enjoying the cigar, the cigar band is kissed (known in English as “The Ring”), just as one touches the Godfather’s ring in greeting.
For centuries, it has been a tradition to kiss Il Padrino’s ring to show the Godfather respect and goodwill.
Il Padrino keeps this ritual of devotion alive.
